NASA Comet Hunter Spots Its Valentine January 26, 2011 NASA’s Stardust spacecraft has downlinked its first images of comet Tempel 1, the target of a flyby planned for Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. The images were taken on Jan. 18 and 19 from a distance of 26.3 million kilometers (16.3 million miles), and 25.4 million kilometers (15.8 million miles) respectively. On Feb. 14, Stardust will fly within about 200 kilometers (124 miles) of the comet’s nucleus.

“This is the first of many images to come of comet Tempel 1,” said Joe Veverka, principal investigator of NASA’s Stardust-NExT mission from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. “Encountering something as small and fast as a comet in the vastness of space is always a challenge, but we are very pleased with how things are setting up for our Valentine’s Day flyby.”

NASA plans Valentine’s Day comet rendevous Jan 19, 2011 NASA plans a Valentine’s Day rendezvous for one of its missions, a make-up visit to the the comet, Tempel-1. In 2005, the space agency’s Deep Impact mission smashed an impact capsule into the comet, blasting a crater in its surface. On Valentine’s Day evening, Feb. 14, around 11:30 p.m. ET, the Stardust-NExT mission (formerly Stardust), will pass about 120 miles over the comet, aiming for a look at the crater.

MAYAN BEE GOD
The Bee image of a flying god has to be related to a stinging element. Ophiuchus has a blocky appearance with a pointed roof. It has two extra areas on each side where the radishes appear to fit. The area on the left stretches out into the Milky Way, just about where there is a break in the star formation. It gives the appearance of bees either coming or going from a hive. This alone is not very convincing. The two places that use a bee-god image most prominently are near the sea coast at Tulum, and in the Mississippi area of the US.

Tunis Rainbow

The word Tunisia is derived from Tunis; a city and capital of modern-day Tunisia. The name Tunis can be attributed to different origins. It can be associated with the Phoenician goddess Tanith ( aka Tunit ), ancient city of Tynes . In Egyptian, her name means Land of Neith, Neith being a war goddess.
